What handle materials does Lamson use in its products?

We use a variety of excellent components for a wide range of handle choices. All the materials used are of high quality, however, we strongly recommend only handwashing our products due to the damage that may be caused by using a dishwasher.

Our Ultra-Durable and Walnut series Kitchen Tools are named for their respective handle materials.

• Ultra-Durable material is either Black POM, short for Polyoxymethylene, a durable plastic commonly used in Kitchen and Home Appliances or almost indestructible MIDNIGHT Black G-10.
• Midnight G-10 is so strong it’s used for structural and many other purposes as well.
• Our Ultra-Durable line is the only handle suggested to be dishwasher safe.

We offer a variety of handle materials for our Premier Forged Range of Knives

• The MIDNIGHT series uses a Black G-10, a space-age fiberglass-resin composite, making it the most robust of our handle materials. G-10 stands up amazingly well to heat and moisture. These handles polish to a beautiful lustrous finish.
• The FIRE series has a proprietary mix of acrylic resins for their handles. These robust and stunning smoky red handles complement any color in your kitchen.
• Our WALNUT series uses sustainable walnut infused with food-safe cactus oil that give the handle its deep rich look. Please note that Walnut is a living material and is therefore subject to differences in shade and color.

Our Vintage Precision Range of Knives has the following choice of handles

• Solid WALNUT handle scales infused with cactus oil that give the handle its deep rich look. Please note that Walnut is a living material and is therefore subject to differences in shade and color.
• MIDNIGHT (Black G-10) handles polished to a beautiful lustrous finish. G-10 is a space-age fiberglass-resin composite, making it the most robust of our handle materials. G-10 stands up amazingly well to heat and moisture.

As with our Walnut-Handled Tools, Walnut Knife Solid Walnut handles are infused with cactus oil to create a beautiful and long-lasting finish. Like any other wood product it is highly recommended NOT to clean in a dishwasher. Please note that Walnut is a living material and is therefore subject to differences in shade and color.
