Lamson Products continues its commitment to support organizations that actively strive to expand and diversify the farming and culinary industries. Empowerment through education is essential to creating a more inclusive society, and Soul Fire Farm of Petersburg, New York embodies that quality through each of its many community based programs.
The Mission
Soul Fire Farm is an 80 acre cooperative dedicated to the reconnection of Black and Brown communities with farmland and fresh foods Correcting the racial disparities in the farming industry is essential and directly correlates to increased availability of fresh produce within communities that lack proper access to grocery stores and healthy food options.
Additionally, farming as a life skill teaches patience and teamwork. In 2021, despite the public health crisis, Soul Fire Farm held steadfast to its mission and hosted over 800 people for an immersive farming workshop, and formed strategic partnerships in order to provide mentorship and funding to farmers all over the nation.
