As with any pride and joy, you'll want to do all you can to maintain and preserve your Lamson knife or kitchen tool. The good news is, it won't take much and we've got all you need to do it.
A good honing steel is essential for keeping knives sharp and at the ready. Designed with the quality craftsmanship of our cutlery itself, Lamson's 10" Sharpening Steel is perfect for this critical task. This invaluable tool is available individually and as part of our exclusive block sets available in every finish.
Because a perfectly honed knife calls for reliably safe storage, Lamson offers a second key to care: our signature KnifeSafe knife protectors. With four sizes made to fit most standard knives, regardless of brand, the KnifeSafe provides an ideal way to transport, store, and protect preventing both blade damage and personal injury. Learn more about Lamson's system of sharpening and care. We made sure to keep it simple because we'd rather be cooking, too.
We never recommend your Lamson knife or kitchen tool with a Walnut handle goes in the dishwasher. Rather rinse and wash in warm soapy water, dry off thoroughly with a soft cloth and then store.
To keep your Walnut handles looking good, we recommend a light application of mineral oil every few months. Lamson’s mineral oil is ideal for this use.
Our Sharp for Life program supplies a lifetime of complimentary professional sharpening on every forged knife we make, excluding serrated knives.
