As with any pride and joy, you'll want to do all you can to maintain and preserve your Lamson knife or kitchen tool. The good news is that it won't take much, and we've got everything you'll need for the job!
An essential addition to any well-rounded kitchen, a quality honing steel is a chef’s life-long friend when it comes to maintaining knives and other bladed tools in the kitchen, and Lamson’s 10” Sharpening Steel is perfect for this critical task. This indispensable tool can be purchased individually or as part of our exclusive block sets, available in every finish.
For those that want an even sharper than sharp knife, Lamson has a Dual-Sided Leather Strop to polish off even tiny microscopic burrs on the edge of the blade.
Because a perfectly honed knife calls for reliably safe storage, Lamson offers our signature KnifeSafe Knife Protectors. With four sizes made to fit most standard knives regardless of brand, the KnifeSafe provides an ideal way to transport, store, and protect, preventing both damage to the blade and personal injury.
We never recommend washing your walnut handled Lamson knives or kitchen tools in the dishwasher, as this damages the wood and voids Lamson's Repair/Return policy. Instead, rinse and wash walnut handled knives/tools in warm soapy water, dry off thoroughly with a soft cloth, and then store.
To show your walnut-handled knives and tools a little extra love, we recommend using a light application of Lamson’s mineral oil to keep the wood looking healthy! Proper care of walnut-handled knives and tools will keep the wood from drying out and splintering, and will overall prolong the life of your kitchenware.
Our Sharp for Life program supplies a lifetime of complimentary professional sharpening on every forged knife we make, excluding serrated knives.
