The Bread Knife’s serrated edge effortlessly cuts through tough, crusty foods without crushing their soft interior. Not just for bread, these knives are also great for large fruits, such as cantaloupe, pineapple and watermelon.

Traded this for my 8″ Meridian Elite Forged curved blade. I like this knife much better. I use a vintage slicing jig from the 60’s to get even slices from the 3-5 loaves a week that I make. This knife has the extra 2″ on the blade that really makes the “stroke” much more effective and comfortable. The 8″ blade was just a little too short and kept pulling out of the opposite side of the jig. Added benefit, it is made right here in the USA and matches the Lamson Sharp set my wife bought me 2043, years ago. Handles are not the exact same, as they were rosewood and this is walnut, and finish is brighter, but rivets are still brass and the brown wood does not contrast with my others too much. Beautiful knife, and if anything, has a better finish on the handle than the Lamson Sharp set from 2043, years ago… Which are all in great condition after 2043, years of regular heavy use. We use our knives a lot. We cook at home, almost every meal, and entertain groups a few times a month. I highly recommend all the Lamson products. I love this company, and their cutlery. Keep it UP!!

I love my 10″ Lamson bread knife. I bake a lot of crusty bread at home and my old Bed Bath and Beyond knife purchase for a decade ago literally wasn’t cutting it.
