Priced for Closeout. Going, Going and Soon Gone!
Precision meets perfection in your palm. The 4″ Premier Forged Chef’s Knife is your secret weapon for intricate work—nimble enough for delicate tasks, wide enough for serious prep, and sharp enough to make every cut feel effortless. German steel meets Massachusetts craftsmanship to create a blade that doesn’t just slice, it glides, turning detailed kitchen work into pure artistry.
- Precise dicing of shallots, garlic, and herbs where control matters most
- Delicate slicing of fruits and vegetables without the bulk of a full-size blade
- Detailed prep work like brunoise cuts and fine julienne with professional accuracy
- Perfect starter knife for aspiring chefs or complement to your existing collection
The Chef’s Knife is the workhorse of the kitchen. Its broad blade dices, slices, and chops fruits, vegetables and meats while protecting knuckles from hitting the cutting board. The shorter 4″ blade is ideal for more delicate tasks where a wide blade is required but not the length.
These masterful cutting instruments are yours to be treasured and passed to the next generation. We are confident you will not find a better forged knife set anywhere.
Features
- Hot-Drop Forged Blades from the very best German Steel, our full-tang Premier Forged blades are polished and sharpened in our Massachusetts facilities. Handles of exotic imported hardwoods and acrylics are assembled to the blades with triple rivets and then the knives are processed and sharpened to perfection.
- Signature Craftsmanship. Meticulously formed in our Massachusetts facilities, each of our knives is finished to perfection using state-of-the-art technology coupled with hand finishing as well as proprietary polishing and sharpening processes.
- Unmatched Blade Quality. Blades are precision-forged from the finest high-carbon Grade 4116 stainless steel from Solingen, Germany, using the traditional hot-drop method. Blades are then tempered and ice-hardened to a perfect 58 on the Rockwell Hardness Scale. This results in a hard, wickedly sharp blade that retains an edge for longer and is both highly corrosion-resistant and elastic.
- Gorgeous & Ergonomic Handles. Choose from one of our 3 distinctive sleek and sturdy handles.
- Fire – Tough Acrylic handles, water resistant with unique fire infusion coloring
- Midnight – Ultra tough Black G-10 handles that are highly impervious to moisture and heat. Midnight Honing Steel handles are constructed of extremely strong POM material.
- Walnut – Classic solid walnut handles with a classical look and feel.
- Superior Handling & Cutting Performance. Full tang blades with smooth integrated front bolster and triple-riveted handles ensure ideal strength, perfect balance and weight. Our combination machine and hand-sharpening processes ensure a consistently ultra-sharp and durable edge.
- Lifetime Warranty. Every Lamson product comes with a Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects
- Guaranteed reliability. Our Sharp for Life™ program supplies a lifetime of complimentary professional sharpening on every knife we make.

Sierra is beautiful
I like the 4” chef’s knife for cutting/slicing smaller blocks of firmer cheese. The Sierra handle is really comfortable and beautiful, why is it being discontinued??
Little chef knife for little old lady
Having to adjust to using a rocking motion for slicing/chopping as I am used to a longer chef knife. With that said, I like the smaller blade and will eventually become fluent in “rocking”. I do like the weight of this knife.
4 inch chef 's knife
Well balanced, sharp and handy.
Must have tool
I made a bad or good mistake (however one looks at it-good because I gave it to my daughter) and am suffering from it. I will buy another one day but the price now -well-I wish I had my old one. Anybody that cooks needs one!
Excellent quality
This is our second knife from lamson and we will be buying more!
My new favorite knife!
The build quality, weight, balance and sharpness of the blade are all terrific. I have some other good knives but this one really beats them all.
Incredibly Useful
I added Lamson's 4 inch Chef's Knife to my set, and it's versatility blows me away! Rock chopping , deboning, slicing veggies...This knife is sharp out of the box and has become my favorite knife.
Very well crafted & sexy knives!
The title of my review says it all. Highly recommended!
Love Lamson
Absolutle love Lamson knives plus they're American made. Great product at a great price. I prefer them over German or Asian steel.
Great Knife
I bought the 4” chef knife. It was very sharp coming out of the box. I got the walnut handle. The overal appearance of the knife is great. The polish and fit of the knife is impressive. It comes with a polishing cloth ! I have used it 3 or 4 times a week and it performs well. Its my go to knife leaving my 6” and 8” chef knives feeling lonely.
