This knife replaced an older Lamson serrated tomato knife of lesser quality, I don’t think that knife had a full tang. The difference is noticeable, the blade on my new knife is stronger and firmer. The handle is a bit smaller than I expected it to be, it’s about the same size as my 3.5 Lamson forged paring knife. The handle on my old knife was a bit larger, but we like the new knife very much. My husband used the old one and now this one to create a lime slice for his beer in the summer, and I like it for tomatoes and other soft fruits.

Having several Lamson forged knives, we weren’t surprised the first time we used this knife. Well balanced and sharp, it is a pleasure to use. It cuts tomatoes without tearing the skin. We’ve used it a lot and still sharp. With the lifetime sharpening, I am not concerned about it becoming dull, but I think it will be a rather long time until that is needed.
I get the highest of quality with Lamson forged knives, and I really like supporting American companies that manufacture their products here in the US.
