Unfinished wood

The wood handle, described as walnut, wasn’t sanded or finished. It wasn’t smooth and had a scratchy feeling and was light in color. I added four light coats of olive oil and it became a nice color, but it still feels unfinished as if there was no final sanding of the wood. The fork works fine for the purposes that I bought it for.

Granny Fork is an essential kitchen tool

My grandmother had a similar fork which I inherited. It is essential for testing veggies, fish or meat for doneness. We have a second home and I purchased one for that kitchen. Works like a charm

Necessity for cooking

I had a fork like this that I used all the time. Unfortunately, at some point my dog got ahold of it and chewed the handle off. I definitely will keep this one safer. I find it just the right length and the tines are strong.
