I first purchased these years ago and they’re still in perfect condition. This time I was gifting them and they’re still were very gratefully received. They’re wonderful on table tops and counters and I also appreciate the fact that they’re kind of invisible.

Great heat protection for my Corian countertops

I have a dozen of these in red, white, blue. I like this larger size to protect my Corian countertops and my wooden dining room tables. I put them under my electric griddle, electric frying pan to prevent heat damage beneath them. I don’t use them as a table runner on my wooden table for hot dishes. I have ordered them several times. The would order larger ones if they were available. Always shipped on time and packages well.

Great Trivet But . . .

I've had one for 10 years and loved it as a trivet. I bought five more to leave on the burners of my new stove to protect the unused burners from splatters. Unfortunately, two of them burned (yes, literally burned) from the heat. Thankfully there was no fire damage to the stove or house. I thought that silicone was impervious to high heat, but these products are not.

Great as a trivet but . . .

One of these was gifted to me years ago and I have used it as a trivet. After getting a new range, I thought I would buy more to cover unused burners so that grease doesn’t splatter all over when I’m frying an egg. The problem is that, even though they are silicone, one that was on the next burner caught fire. Thankfully we were able to put the fire out. So they are not good to put on top of your burners or near any flame.

I ordered these several 8 or 9 years ago (from another online store) and they are still going strong. I needed a few more and chose these again because of their generous size and excellent quality. I looked at other brands at the original site but found nothing to match these. I was very happy to locate them again on the Lamson site. It’s rare to find something of this excellent quality these days.

Buy It For Life!

This series of Lamson silicone HotSpots is what the cheap silicone trivets and potholders aspire to be! I like to shop in the spirit of “Buy It For Life,” i.e.: I want quality products that will last! These Lamson HotSpots seem to fit into that category. They are thick and durable, with raised buttons on each side. The texture is nice and matte, with a good grip on various bakeware and pans and no heat transference to my hand. They clean easily and have not retained odors from soaps or foods (so far.) I got 1 jumbo and 2 original in blue, it’s a nice deep bright blue, easy to find on my black countertops. I would not hesitate to gift these, they are top quality, and I expect to enjoy them for years to come! Cheers!
