Brad Leone
Celebrity chef and YouTube personality
Brad Samuel Leone, born on May 16, 1985, is an American chef, YouTube personality, and a prominent figure in Bon Appétit’s YouTube channel. Starting as a test kitchen assistant, Leone worked his way up to become the Test Kitchen Manager. In 2016, Bon Appétit launched the web series “It’s Alive with Brad,” featuring Leone’s culinary adventures with microbial food cultures. The show’s humorous editing and Leone’s relaxed cooking style earned it praise and a dedicated following. Known for his laid-back approach, Leone’s series, alongside “Gourmet Makes,” brought a refreshing and unfiltered perspective to Bon Appétit’s online video content. Leone later transitioned to focus solely on creating videos and launched a spin-off series called “It’s Alive: Goin’ Places,” where he explores different locations while showcasing his culinary skills. Leone’s contributions to the food industry were recognized with a nomination for “Best in Food” at the 11th Shorty Awards in 2019.
