Absolutely Beautiful

I just recently purchased the walnut block for my Lamson Fire series knives. It is absolutely beautiful. I love how it has a space for the cleaver. Now, I need to work on filling the empty spaces. Thank you!

I Need More Knives

I my old Lamson knife block had gotten too small over the years for all the knives I had to put in the drawer. This beautiful block of wood not only holds ALL my knives but has empty holes for 5 more!!! I actually like the smaller square hole for scissors. The older style blocks had a much larger hole that I believed was for a large wooden-handle knife sharpener that took up space.

Poor knife slot layout.

First. The general appearance of this knife block is aesthetically pleasing. It is a very nice looking counter top addition to any kitchen. My complaint lies with the layout of the storage slots for the knives. With my recent purchase, I bought the 8”, 6” & 4” Chefs knives. The arrangement of the slots (width) does not allow all 3 of these knives to be placed adjacent to one another either vertically or horizontally. It’s aggravating to pull 2 or 3 knives to locate the one you are looking for. In my mind the layout of this product is incongruous and was not well thought out. I’m saddened to say that I do not recommend this product. That doesn’t mean that I won’t continue shopping Lamson products. The cutlery is superb!

I chose the large block in maple. If anything it is more striking than the pics. Absolutely fantastic! One caution- I now have to shop Lamson to fill all the slots in the block. Shh don�t tell the wife.
